German Krieg-Modell K98 ( Pre-EU/UK Deactivation )

The is a late-war K98 known as the War Model ( Krieg-Modell ), which used press-steel fittings, no bayonet leg or cleaning rod and the circular tube in the butt was discontinued. The single year digit was introduced in the latter part of 1944 "which gives time of manufacture between July and December 1944. This example has been used by the East Germans after WW2 . The East-German proof markings are on the left side of the barrel and receiver. However the Third Reich proof markings ( Waffenampts ) are still visible.
